Ambassador Roberto Pace today
visited a non-profit, US-based organisation entitled The Littlest Lamb, which was founded
in 2007. Ms Mira Riad, the founder of the NGO, welcomed Ambassador Pace and
explained how in 2014 she built a state-of-the-art facility for orphaned and
at-risk children, located in the outskirts of Cairo. The organisation opened its
doors with one child in 2015 that shot up to 90 children in 2022. The residents
are taken care of by a dedicated team and community with the aim of raising the
standard of care for orphaned children.
Ambassador Pace thanked Ms Riad
and the staff for the visit and tour of the premises as well as the invaluable
work they are doing with the most vulnerable Egyptian children.
